Roomba 880 ditches brushes for extra dirt-busting power

And though current Roombas have mostly been able to live up to that idea, iRobot decided an upgrade to suction power was in order. With the help of its newfangled AeroForce technology, the clean-loving bot is now able to use a combination of three grime-busting features to give your house a thorough sweep.

Its "tangle-free debris extractors" consist of two rotating, treaded and rubberized rotors that shake loose any dirt sitting on top of both hard floors and carpeting. Then, its "airflow accelerators" creates a concentrated stream of air to target a specific area. And for the grand finale, the Roomba sucks it all up with its compact vacuum, now powered by a motor that possesses five times the air power over previous Roomba models, with 50 percent more dirt removal.
