Iraq rejects US request to maintain bases after troop withdrawal

The US suffered a major diplomatic and military rebuff when Iraq finally rejected its pleas to maintain bases in the country beyond this year. The Iraqi decision is a boost to Iran, which has been battling against permanent American bases.

RCMP is seizing sales records and toy BB guns imported from China, made with real parts. Investigators believe the metal 'receiver' of the guns are authentic and could easily be fitted with new bolts and barrels to turn them into functioning weapons.
